Julia Fischer full member of Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Göttingen.

Julia Fischer, head of the Cognitive Ethology Lab at the DPZ and professor at the University of Göttingen is now a full member of the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Göttingen.

The Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities is a learned society rich in tradition and a non-university research institution. With its aim to cross subject boundaries through conversation, it unites approximately 400 outstanding scientists from various disciplines.

The Academy has added five newly elected members. In addition to Julia Fischer of the DPZ, Andreas Busch is a Professor for Comparative Political Science and Political Economics at the University of Göttingen, Daniel Göske a Professor for Literature and American studies at the University of Kassel, Tanja Susanne Scheer an Ancient History Professor  at the University of Göttingen and Jörg Brüdern a Professor for Mathematics at the University of Göttingen were added.

Full membership is granted to scientists who live in northern Germany. They are eligible to vote and have the right and duty to participate in plenary sessions.
