Primate Cognitive Neuroscience Summer School from July 28 to August 9
The Primate Cognitive Neuroscience Summer School series has been running since 2019 and will now take place for the third time in summer 2024. The Summer School focuses on cognitive processes in sensory and motor neuroscience in primates, with special relevance given to social contexts and decision-making processes. Animal welfare, ethical issues in neuroscientific research on primates and scientific communication will also be covered.
In addition to the teaching units, the lecturers are also available for individual discussions on research projects, career development issues and scientific networking. All participants will also present their research on posters.
The event is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs with an interest in cognitive and systemic neuroscience with non-human primates. The organizing team consists of Hansjörg Scherberger, Alexander Gail, Igor Kagan, Raymundo Báez-Mendoza and Stefan Treue; the Summer School is a joint event of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Primate Cognition, the DFG Collaborative Research Center 1528 Cognition of Interaction of the Georg-August-University Göttingen, and the German Primate Center.
As in previous years, the Summer School will take place at the Gustav Stresemann Institute in Bad Bevensen.
